John Allen , Key Account Manager

One of the founders of Northern Light, John ran the business for 35 years. Educated at Alleyn's and Central School of Speech and Drama, John's experience prior to founding Northern Light included working in London's West End and throughout the UK as a Chief Electrician, Lighting Designer, Sound Technician and Stage Manager.

John is recognised within the performing arts technology industry as a specialist consultant and designer of bespoke lighting systems for theatre, education and other sectors. Since handing over stewardship of the company to Colin, John has taken responsibility for the development and growth of Northern Light's work in the education sector. John also leads in the design of systems for the company's major projects and is a key member of Northern Light's Board.
