Northern Light completes house lighting at the Minack

Open air house lighting by Northern Light at the Minack Theatre

How do you put houselights into a venue which has no house? That was the challenge faced by Northern Light when refreshing the house lighting, cabling infrastructure, control and DMX distribution at the unique, beautiful and open air Minack Theatre in Cornwall.

Northern Light recommended the installation of Global Design Solutions (GDS) LED fittings for several reasons; to help the venue to meet its aim of reduced power consumption and because the domed LEDs are sealed, IP rated fixtures which means that the risk of sea water finding its way in is vastly reduced. Finally, the chosen fixtures are fully dimmable - ensuring that the venue's capacity for ambient lighting was maintained.
