Part of London's Southbank Centre, the Royal Festival Hall closed in 2005 for a two year period for major refurbishment. Northern Light were responsible for the installation of full production lighting, sound and communications systems.
The project involved the installation of a phenomenal 600 microphone, 400 audio, 228 loudspeaker and 150 video tie-lines. Northern Light also provided a custom-built stage mangement desk and installed the venue's infra red hearing assist system.
For the installation of the lighting infrastructure, Northern Light put in literally hundreds of ways of dimming to service both the production and house lighting. Additionally, a fully integrated Ethernet network was put in place.
