Northern Light were called upon to ensure that everyone had a bangin’ time in the Duracell Powerhouse arena at 2006’s T in the Park.
As part of Scotland’s largest music festival, the Duracell arena required tangible edge to the atmosphere to compliment the funky house grooves that would be playing. To this end, Northern Light were asked to look after all the lighting, sound and power management for the event.
The experts at Northern Light gave their recommendations for the sound and lighting equipment and Duracell concurred. For the lighting, a truss ran the length of the unit and incorporated Clay Paky Stage Colour 300s, VariLite 2202 spots, Martin Atomic Strobes, Source Four profiles and Pulsar spot banks. The resulting lighting design ensured a club atmosphere whilst highlighting Duracell’s brand on the end walls and drawing attention to the bar area.
The sound system consisted of D&B C7s, Meyer twin 18” subs and Logic 152 wedges for monitors. The DJ kits were tailored to each individual DJ’s preference.
