Due for completion in February 2007, Northern Light was responsible for the installation of state-of-the-art AV equipment in twelve of the University of Stirling’s teaching rooms.

Northern Light has a long working partnership with the University of Stirling. As well as carrying out this most recent project, the company has previously kitted out 20 other lecture theatres within the University campus.

This project utilises the most up to date technology, equipping each teaching room – which can hold up to 50 students or corporate delegates – with a data projector, sound system and IR system. All of these components are controlled via Crestron systems which interface with Smart 17” interactive panels.

Each room is monitored using IP cameras linked to Crestron’s RoomView software which delivers complete, facility-wide network control of AV resources. The software allows the user to perform tasks such as remote system diagnostics and tracking the usage of projector lamps. It also manages room access to prevent unauthorised use of AV equipment.
