Does Northern Light only work with lighting in the North of the UK?

No! When the company first came into existence 35 years ago, lighting systems were the main focus of our business. Over the years, we've grown into a full service company for the performance, presentation and events industries and our services encompass such areas as sound, lighting, stage management, audio visual systems and event production. Furthermore, we operate on a UK wide basis. We just like the name.

Does Northern Light sell equipment, or just install it?

Yes, we simply sell equipment too. And we don't make you use us for the install if you don't want to. We also have an extensive hire department - one of the largest in the UK.

I just need a plasma screen installed in my rugby club - does Northern Light only work on large scale installations?

Absolutely not! Here at Northern Light no job is too big or small. We've worked on a diverse range of projects from brand new theatre complexes right through to remote village halls and each job receives the same skill and attention to detail - regardless of size.

Does Northern Light offer event management services as well as event production services?

The events team at Northern Light have decades of experience of technical production for both large and small events. So yes, we can offer event management services as part of that - or alternatively we can recommend a professional event manager to help you out.

I'm planning an event for the very first time and I'm not exactly sure what my lighting, sound and AV requirements are - can you help?

We'd be delighted to. We pride ourselves on offering our customers impartial advice on the kind of equipment they require to achieve the results they need. Our events team, sales team and hire department have vast experience in the very latest technology around - as well as total recall of prehistoric technologies! - and are happy to chat with you to ensure that your event looks and sounds like you've been organising them for years.
