The Young Vic was originally founded in 1970 by Sir Laurence Olivier for the benefit of younger members of his newly formed National Theatre Company. Built as a temporary space with an intended lifespan of just five years, the theatre finally closed in 2004 for refurbishment, reopening in 2006 - on schedule and on budget.
Northern Light were awarded the contract for the complete installation of production lighting, sound and communications systems by main contractor Verry. The scope of work included containment, cabling infastructure, specialist manufacturing, installation and commissioning of all lighting, sound and communications systems.
