Project Manager: London Area

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the Northern Light team to be responsible for the design, management and installation of projects.

The job will entail overall responsibility for large installation projects including collation of relevant information, preparation of drawings, ordering equipment, organising operatives and client liaison.  Supervision and / or completion of the installation, and ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to will be essential to this post.  In addition, making sure that training, handover and relevant documentation are carried out as necessary. This will involve working away from home, on building sites, for considerable lengths of time.

The successful applicants will be ambitious, have the ability to manage others, possess a current driving licence, have a working knowledge of audio visual technology and possess excellent attention to detail.  It is important to note that the post will involve extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally beyond.

Due to the nature of Northern Light’s work in the education sector the company must put all relevant staff through the Disclosure Scotland process.

Installation Team Members: London, Birmingham, Leeds Areas

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled individual to work across the UK on technical installations in a variety of venues including theatres, schools and colleges.

The successful candidate will be based at home, but will be expected to travel extensively to site to work with Northern Light’s electricians and technicians to install drama equipment such as lighting bars, curtain tracks, trussing, loudspeakers, projectors and equipment racks.  In addition, running cable, trunking and other containment, as well as connection and basic fault finding of audio, lighting and projection equipment, will be essential elements of this role.

The successful applicant must have a full, clean driving licence and experience of the construction sector.  A CSCS card is desirable, but not essential.  Due to the nature of Northern Light’s work in the education sector the company must put all relevant staff through the Disclosure Scotland process.
